25 posts · Joined 2022. #4 · May 12, 2022. the permanent fix is to realign the filler neck Mounting bracket. most dealerships will do during service if you mention it as it is an easy fix. a temp solution for now is gentle push on the filler cap and make sure the handle part is facing vertical not horizontal. Engine wont start - battery OK. I have a 2010 Ceed 1.6 diesel which had a clutch and crank shaft sensor replaced 3 weeks ago. Since then i have seen a deterioration in the starting behavior - i.e. long cranks before start up and then clicking noises. Thinking it was the battery I took it out and had it charged.
Poor Cold Start today. I started the Sportage early this morning when it was -2C here. I left the ignition on for at least 10 seconds before cranking but then it took a lot of cranking to actually begin firing. I bought a 2010 kia sorento 4x4 2.2 diesel its been a nice car to have for the last 8 months. yesterday I drove home fine and parked the car then my wife wanted to go to the shops 15 min later the car wont start at all, yet the engine turns over when you press the push start.

I have a 2009 1.6 Diesel Ceed that's now done 37k, about 1,000 miles ago it's started to produce white smoke from the exhaust on cold start up and has rough idle. I wait for the glow plug light to go out etc (don't have foot on excelerator) - even left the plugs to warm up for a few seconds longer but still happens.

Evening. I own a 13 plate Kia Ceed. Last night the car wouldn't start. At first I thought its a battery issue ( due to lack of car knowledge). When the RAC came they advised it was an issue with the fuel injectors. 344 posts · Joined 2018. #6 · Oct 28, 2020. One of the mail issues is the state of charge of the battery. The Kia system only allows the ISG to work when restarting will use "excess" battery charge. Under normal driving, the alternator only charges the battery to 80% or so as that is deemed to be adequate for all normal needs. 2TMqo.
