Remove belt and tensioner then the water pump. fit new water pump tensioner and belt remove tensioner pin remove locking bar and fit crankshaft and bolt torque correctly!!! remove flywheel and crankshaft locking tool turn engine over twice reinsert locking tools to check that the timing is correct if it is reassemble. Job done.

Posted February 14, 2017. Ford dealer price is £339 for cam belt only or £449 for cam belt water pump and auxiliary belt. It's worth getting water pump done anyway for the labour saving especially if you haven't changed the coolant, you are probably due a change to save the matrix corroding. They told me cutting the auxiliary belt saves time
I started my timing belt change today on my 2008 90bhp 1.6TDCi. Plan to do it over the next two weeks in the evenings. So I've got the aux belt off and am looking at the Crankshaft pulley bolt. I need to remove that bolt so i can get the pulley off (i will try and post a picture). I'll be using a socket and ratchet.
